Azincourt Energy To Conduct Airborne Radiometric Survey At East Preston Uranium Project

Azincourt Energy Corp. (TSXV: AAZ) announced today an update for its upcoming summer exploration program at the East Preston uranium project in Athabasca Basin, Saskatchewan. The company tapped Terralogic Exploration to facilitate an airborne radiometric survey over the property.

As the company previously reported, the primary target area for the 2021 drill program is the conductive corridor on the property from the A-Zone to G-Zone. This target area was selected based on survey and historical drill results from 2018 to 2020.

The planned airborne survey is expected to be conducted on the unsurveyed southern portion of the property. Following the potential results, the company intends to conduct field investigations of the resulting anomalies.

“The additional radiometric survey coverage will help us ensure that we are focusing on the best sections of the conductive trends we have identified,” said Exploration Manager Trevor Perkins.

Meanwhile, the resource company continues to prepare for an expanded diamond drill program to cover both the remaining 1,000 metres from the shortened 2021 winter drill program and the extensive 6,000-metre program consisting of 25-30 drill holes expected to be completed by winter 2022. The company targets to start the program in late summer/early fall and the results from the 2021 summer field activities would refine the target selection for this drill program.

The company owns 70% equity in the East Preston mine as part of a joint venture agreement with Skyharbour Resources (TSXV: SYH) and Dixie Gold.

Azincourt Energy last traded at $0.07 on the TSX Venture.
