Beyond Rage: Beyond Meat COO Arrested for Allegedly Attempting To Bite Off Man’s Nose, Stock Hits Record Low

Well, he must have been hangry!

Beyond Meat Chief Operating Officer Doug Ramsey was arrested on Friday on charges of terroristic threatening and third-degree battery following a traffic-related altercation at a parking garage near Razorback Stadium.

Ramsey reportedly bit a man, “ripping the flesh on the tip of the nose.”

Not surprisingly, the incident was received very well on Twitter

An officer was dispatched to Gate 15 of the Stadium Drive Parking Garage (SDPG) for a disturbance that occurred following Arkansas’ win over Missouri State. Arriving at the scene, the officer then found “two males with bloody faces.”

According to the report of the incident, Ramsey was driving his Bronco out of the stadium when a Subaru “inched his way” in front and made contact with the side of Ramsey’s front passenger’s side tire. The COO then got out of his vehicle and “punched through the back windshield of the Subaru.”

The driver of the Subaru then got out, and said that Ramsey “pulled him in close and started punching his body.” And also did that thing where he sunk his teeth into the tip of his nose. Witnesses also reported that Ramsey threatened to kill the driver of the Subaru.

Ramsey was named COO of Beyond Meat in December, replacing former Tesla and Amazon executive Sanjay Shah. The alternative meat company has been struggling through disappointing performance and some challenges in operations which have made investors doubtful of the company’s long-term growth prospects.

On Monday, when the news of Ramsey’s nose-biting incident came out, the company stock plummeted to an all-time low of $17.06.
