Apparently there’s a lot of lithium in the James Bay Region of Quebec that is yet to be found.
Brunswick Exploration (TSXV: BRW) last night revealed it has seen success in its inaugural drill campaign at its Mirage Lithium Project. The program consisted of 5,090 metres of drilling, consisting of 36 drill holes, the first 13 of which have been released.
Highlights from the results include:
- MR-23-01: 2.18% Li2O over 24.5 metres, including 3.06% Li2O over 9.5 metres
- MR-23-02: 2.57% Li2O over 25.8 metres, including 3.08% Li2O over 14.2 metres
- MR-23-07: 1.06% Li2O over 50.6 metres, including 1.76% Li2O over 12.5 metres
- MR-23-12: 1.04% Li2O over 41.1 metres, including 2.49% Li2O over 6.0 metres
- MR-23-14: 2.75% Li2O over 16.2 metres, including 3.30% Li2O over 9.5 metres
Exploration efforts at Mirage are said to have identified spodumene-bearing pegmatite dykes over a combined strike of 1,500 metres to date, which remains open in all directions. Drilling was conducted in an area that measures 2 kilometres by 2 kilometres. Multiple instances of bonanza grades have been reported, while 60% of outcrops have been drilled, with further drilling slated to occur in winter 2024.

“I believe the distribution of the first four mineralized dykes at Mirage does not explain the three-kilometer long trend of rich spodumene-bearing boulders that occurs to the southwest. With more outcropping spodumene-bearing dykes located another 3 kilometers to the northeast, we have considerable exploration work and drilling to do to unlock the full potential of this promising property,” commented Executive Chairman Robert Wares on the results.
Assays remain pending for 23 drill holes conducted under the fall program.
Brunswick Exploration last traded at $1.08 on the TSX Venture.
