Canada Nickel Hits 0.23% Nickel Over 348.5 Metres At New Discovery

Canada Nickel (TSXV: CNC) continues to insist that its flagship property, the Crawford Nickel Project, is the smallest in its portfolio, with another discovery now said to outsize the project.

The company has identified that the Mann Northwest project is more than three times the size of Crawford following the receipt of assays, with the strike length of the project now said to be 2,650 metres.

“Mann Northwest has a target footprint more than three times that of Crawford and is one of eleven properties with a target footprint larger than Crawford. Three additional holes extended the strike length of mineralization by more than 1,100 metres to 2,650 metres, and assays from first five holes confirmed grades in line with expectations,” commented CEO Mark Selby.

Mann Northwest is said to have a target footprint of 6.0 square kilometres, with eight drill holes conducted to date intersecting mineralization. The first five holes, for which assays have been returned, identified mineralization along 1,150 metres of strike, at a width of 500 metres. The target is said to remain open in all directions.

Highlights from the results include:

  • MAN23-02: 0.23% nickel over 348.5 metres
  • MAN23-03: 0.23% nickel over 291.5 metres
  • MAN23-05: 0.20% nickel over 366.5 metres

The company currently has the ability to acquire up to an 80% interest in Mann Northwest under an option agreement in place with Noble Minerals.

Canada Nickel last traded at $1.15 on the TSX Venture.
