Canada Nickel Makes Second Regional Discovery In Timmins District

Results from the latest drill program conducted by Canada Nickel Corp (TSXV: CNC) are now in hand. The firm this morning reported a second discovery on its recently acquired regional properties, which follows a discovery first announced at the tail end of June, where it encountered 354 metres of 0.24% nickel at the Reid property.

The latest results come from the Deloro property, which is located 9 kilometres to the southeast of Timmins, and is where the company conducted a total of eleven drill holes on the regional property. Assays for five of the eleven holes were released this morning, with the remainder still waiting on results from the lab.

Highlights from the results include:

  • DEL22-01: 487 metres of 0.25% nickel, including 91 metres of 0.28% nickel
  • DEL22-09: 393 metres of 0.26% nickel, including 51 metres of 0.28% nickel
  • DEL22-10: 79 metres of 0.25% nickel, and 87 metres of 0.25% nickel

“Deloro now joins Reid as another significant, sizeable nickel discovery and we look forward to continued success as we continue exploration around our regional properties, developing what we believe has the potential to be one of the world’s leading nickel districts. We will provide further updates on drilling and our regional plans in September,” commented CEO Mark Selby on the results.

Canada Nickel Company last traded at $1.70 on the TSX Venture.
