Element 29 Resources (TSXV: ECU) is continuing the process of reworking its management team, following changes initially made back in late February.

The latest changes are set to impact the firms board of directors, with three new independent nominees being put up for election at the first 2024 annual general meeting, which is scheduled to occur on June 27. Their nomination follows the retirement of Robert Willis.

The new nominees for director roles include:

  • Brad Mercer, a professional geoscientist whom previously served as COO for Capstone Copper, driving the company from a $20 million valuation to that of $5.0 billion.
  • Chet Idziszek, an exploration geologist with over four decades of experience. Idziszek held roles in the discovery of the Eskay Creek VMS deposit in BC, as well as the Cobre Panama porphyry copper deposit in Panama.
  • Mary-Carmen Vera, a geological engineer and a member of the board of directors for PDAC.
