Emerita Resources Hits 7.61 g/t Gold, 311.1 g/t Silver Over 14.3 Metres At Romanera

Emerita Resources (TSXV: EMO) has finally released the much-anticipated drill results from its Romanera deposit at its Iberia Belt West project, found in Spain. The firm had previously indicated over 14 metres of massive sulphides had been intersected, with assays at the time still pending.

Those 14.3 metres of massive sulphides previously reported on now have full assay details, with the results being released this morning. Highlights include:

  • LR002: 7.61 g/t gold, 311.1 g/t silver, 3.0% zinc, 2.9% lead and 0.4% copper over 14.3 metres.
    • including 9.74 g/t gold, 372.9 g/t silver, 0.7% zinc, 2.7% lead, and 0.6% copper over 7.8 metres
    • including 4.56 g/t gold, 235.9 g/t silver, 8.0% zinc, 3.8% lead, and 0.2% copper over 4.6 metres

“We had a sense from reviewing certain of the historical data that the deposit could be enriched in precious metals. Interestingly most of the upper part of the deposit as delineated by historical drilling was never assayed for gold. This presents significant upside potential even within the area,” commented CEO David Gower on the results.

The company has indicated that three further drill holes have now been completed under the ongoing exploration program, which intends to drill a total of 70,000 metres in aggregate this year. Those three holes are said to have also intersected significant sulfides.

Emerita Resources last traded at $1.27 on the TSX Venture.
