Drilling continues for Golden Cariboo Resources (CSE: GCC), whom this morning released further results from the ongoing exploration program conducted at its flagship Quesnelle Gold Quartz Mine property in British Columbia.
The latest results come from drill testing conducted at the Main and North Hixon zones. Highlights from the results include:
- QGQ24-08: 0.58 g/t gold over 61.40 metres from a depth of 179.00 metres
- Including 2.26 g/t gold over 2.33 metres
- Including 0.83 g/t gold over 18.75 metres
- Including 3.06 g/t gold over 2.45 metres
The results for hole QGQ24-08 are partial in nature, with the assays coming from the first 265.34 metres of the hole, with the hole being drilled to a total depth of 712.01 metres. The hole is said to have successfully tested the 2019 discovery of metasedimentary-hosted mineralization in float at North Hixon, which notably intersected 0.87 g/t gold over 32.0 metres.

The company also indicated this morning that holes QGQ24-05 through to QGQ24-07 were drilled at the main zone. Assays returned for QGQ24-05 indicate that the hole intersected multiple intervals in a range of 0.4 – 1.4 g/t gold over narrow intervals, with the hole believed to have intersected the hanging wall of the zone.
Further assays remain pending from results released this morning, with true width intercepts not yet known due to orientation and controls not yet fully known. 3D geological modelling is ongoing, with a structural geologist, Dr. Sarah E. Palmer, now involved in that analysis.
Golden Cariboo Resources last traded at $0.335 on the CSE.
