Great Bear Sees 97% Gold Recovery At Dixie Limb In Metallurgical Tests

Great Bear Resources (TSXV: GBR) this morning released metallurgical test results from its Dixie Limb Zone at its flagship Dixie Project. The company reported recoveries between 88% to 97.5% of head grade gold following bottle roll leach tests.

The tests conducted by the company confirm gold mineralization at the zone has similar recovery yields as that of the Hinge Zone. The company expects to release further recovery results, including from the LP Fault, over the coming months.

The series of recovery tests included two sets of samples, one with a high sulphide content, while the other was focused on gold with a sedimentary host referred to as argillite.

Recoveries were reportedly high for all high sulphide samples, with similar results as what was found at the Hinge zone where the company reported recoveries between 95% to 97%. The company did note that coarsely ground material yielded 93.1% recoveries, while finely ground material yielded 96.1% recovery.

The company also tested gold mineralized argillite across six samples, which overall yielded somewhat similar results. All gold recoveries in all conditions were very high, and similar to non-argillite samples that were tested.

A total of ten samples were tested by the analytical lab conducting the research, which were taken from two aggregate composites. The high sulphide composite averaged 8.0 g/t gold, while the sedimentary host sample contained an average of 10.6 g/t gold.

Great Bear Resources last traded at $14.62 on the TSX Venture.
