iAnthus Capital Sees Another Director Resign

iAnthus Capital (CSE: IAN) continues to see executives make way for the exit, a notable trend exhibited over the course of the last several months. Joy Chen is the latest to leave the board of directors of the firm, less than a year after she took a role as an independent director for the firm.

Justification for Chen’s departure was not provided, however her time at the company was thanked by Interim CEO Randy Maslow. Maslow stated on her departure, “Speaking on behalf of the entire iAnthus team, we appreciate the opportunity we had to benefit from Joy’s extensive professional background, thorough business acumen and the strategic insights that she brought to our board.”

Chen is just the latest member to leave the iAnthus team following a tumultous year. The departures began with CEO Hadley Ford himself, whom was found to have taken personal loans from certain lenders of iAnthus, while not disclosing this key detail to the company or shareholders. His departure in April set off a chain of events that also saw Mark Dowley, another independent director appointed last December, resign in May.

Elizabeth Stavola, director and chief strategy officer, also vacated her position this year, leaving in August with her resignation being effective immediately. Stavola was previously the founder of MPX Bioceuticals and CBD For Life, both of which were vended into iAnthus over the last several years.

A replacement for Chen’s role on the independent board of directors was not discussed.

iAnthus Capital Holdings last traded at $0.12 on the CSE.
