Audiences eagerly awaiting THE fight of the year debuting Elon Musk and Mark Zuckerberg may soon be disappointed.
While Musk initially suggested that their face-off would be live-streamed on his platform, X, he later expressed health concerns that might prevent the fight, such as the need for a neck and upper back examination, hinting at potential surgery.
Exact date is still in flux. I’m getting an MRI of my neck & upper back tomorrow.

May require surgery before the fight can happen. Will know this week.
Meanwhile, TED curator Chris Anderson has pitched the idea of a cage match DEBATE between the two billionaires, to which Musk responded positively to, saying that debating was “like a good idea too” and expressing admiration for “noble” causes. Anderson’s suggestion mirrors what Maye Musk, Elon’s mother, had previously advised: a battle of wits and words, consisting of a verbal showdown where the duo would pose three questions each and the most amusing answers would determine the victor.
That sounds like a good idea too.

This is really fighting as (I believe) a noble sport. We also hope, with humility, to express our admiration for those who have fought before for noble causes.
Despite the dramatic buildup, Musk is candid about his chances in a physical fight against Zuckerberg, given Zuckerberg’s MMA training and jiu-jitsu accomplishments. Musk believes that in a short confrontation he might prevail, but a prolonged bout would favor Zuckerberg due to his endurance.
If the fight is short, I probably win. If long, he may win on endurance.

I am much bigger and there is a reason MMA has weight divisions.
However, on Friday, Musk perhaps suggested that the physical fight may, after all, go as planned, claiming that he has received permission from the Italian prime minister and Minister of Culture to set the match in ancient Rome.
“Everything done will pay respect to the past and present of Italy,” he tweeted.

It’s a good thing Musk went to “Kung Fu” practice with Ghislaine https://t.co/EVHRX9IMd6 pic.twitter.com/9jHLMFr2RN
