Max Resource Discovers New Zone At Cesar Copper-Silver Project

Max Resource Corp (TSXV: MXR) this morning announced that it has discovered yet another copper zone at its wholly-owned Cesar copper-silver project in northern Colombia. The zone, titled the URU zone, is located 30 kilometres to the south of the recently discovered Conejo zone.

The new zone has been pegged at at least 3.7 kilometres in size, with copper mineralization remaining open in all directions. The zone is located along the southern portion of the Cesar North target region, where over 125 rock samples have been collected and sent for analysis with results expected early next month.

Mineralization within the new zone reportedly occurs both as stockwork of cross cutting fractures or as disseminated mineralization that is hosted within igneous rock. Minerals seen include native copper, cuprite, chalcocite, and copper oxides.

“The discovery of new copper mineralization at the URU zone is a significant addition to the stratabound copper-silver mineralization at CESAR North, as the Company’s in-country team extends activities further into unexplored areas of Max’s CESAR Project. Over the last 18 months the Max team has identified copper-silver mineralization over 38-kilometres of combined strike length at CESAR North, demonstrating a district-scale sediment-hosted copper-silver system,”

Brett Matich, CEO of Max Resource Corp
