Nighthawk Hits 252.13 Metres Of 1.84 G/T Gold At Colomac Gold Project

Nighthawk Gold Corp (TSX: NHK) this morning released assay results from four drills holes conducted at its Colomac Gold Project, part of the larger Indin Lake Gold property. The four holes in total accounted for 2,574 metres worth of drilling, which were conducted at three separate zones. The highlight value from these assays consists of 200.45 metres of 2.01 gram per tonne gold on an uncut basis.

While the highlight value is impressive in terms of the length of mineralization, this value is actually an interval of an even larger area of mineralization, which measures at 252.13 metres of 1.84 grams of gold at Zone 2.0. The true width of this mineralization is said to be 150 metres. Larger intervals within this mineralization include 19.38 metres of 2.30 g/t gold, 12.50 metres of 3.66 g/t gold and 17.50 metres of 3.35 g/t gold.

The hole, C20-06, is said to be the best continuous downhole mineralization found at the project to date. Mineralization from this hole began at a depth of 466.62 metres, and extended down to 718.25 metres.

Zone 1.5 meanwhile saw hole C20-03 intersect 38.25 metres of 2.09 g/t gold, while hole C20-08 at Zone 3.0 intersect 85 metres of 1.19 g/t gold.

Full assays from today’s release can be found here.

Drilling for the season is now said to be complete at the Indin Lake property, with a total of 22,993 metres completed to date among the smaller Colomac, Treasure Island Gold, and Leta Arm Gold projects included in the property.

Nighthawk Gold last traded at $1.28 on the TSX.
