Nvidia Beats Fiscal Q4 2022 Revenue With US$7.64 Billion

NVIDIA (Nasdaq: NVDA) announced on Wednesday its financial results for the fiscal fourth quarter and full-year 2022 ended January 30, 2022. The report highlights a topline revenue figure of US$7.64 billion, an increase from both Q3 2022’s revenue of US$7.10 billion and Q4 2021’s revenue of US$5.00 billion. This is also higher than the previously announced expected quarterly revenue of US$7.4 billion.

The tech firm also said that the increase in revenue is partly due to “record revenue” contributions from its gaming, data center, and professional visualization market platforms.

The gross margin also increased to 65.4% this quarter coming from 65.2% last quarter and 63.1% last year. This meets the guidance of 65.3% announced last quarter.

Further down the financials, net income for the quarter came in at US$3.00 billion compared to US$2.46 billion last quarter and US$1.46 billion last year. The quarterly income translates to US$1.18 earnings per diluted share.

For the full year, the firm recorded US$26.91 billion in revenue, up from fiscal 2021’s revenue of US$16.68 billion. Annual net income came in at US$9.75 billion, up from last year’s US$4.33 billion. This equates to US$3.85 earnings per diluted share.

The firm ended the quarter with a US$1.99 billion cash and cash equivalents. The company’s current assets balance ended at US$28.83 billion while current liabilities came in at US4.33 billion.

The tech company is expecting its revenue for fiscal Q1 2023 to be US$8.10 billion, with a gross margin of 65.2%.

NVIDIA last traded at US$265.11 on the Nasdaq.
