Gold Rush: From Eritrea to Saudi Arabia with Matthew Grainger of Alpha Exploration

At the Rule Symposium of Natural Resource Investing in Boca Raton, Florida, Matthew Grainger from Alpha Exploration Ltd. (TSXV: ALEX) provided insights into the company’s operations and strategic plans.

Grainger focused on Alpha Exploration’s activities in Eritrea, a small African nation with significant untapped mineral potential. He highlighted two key projects in the company’s portfolio: a large gold system named Burner and a promising copper-gold porphyry prospect. Grainger emphasized the company’s experienced leadership team, noting their familiarity with operating in Eritrea’s unique business environment.

Looking ahead to 2024, Grainger outlined an ambitious exploration program. This includes plans for 20,000 meters of drilling at the Burner gold project and an additional 2,000 meters at the porphyry prospect. These extensive drilling campaigns underscore Alpha’s commitment to rapidly advancing their projects and potentially expanding their resource base.

Grainger also touched on the company’s interest in expanding its operations into Saudi Arabia, indicating a strategy for regional growth and diversification.

Grainger emphasized the untapped potential of the region where Alpha operates. He drew an intriguing comparison to early-stage exploration in well-known mining jurisdictions like Nevada or California, suggesting that Eritrea could offer similar opportunities for significant discoveries.
