Tensions between North and South Korea have escalated dramatically, with reports indicating that North Korean troops are preparing to destroy roads connecting the two nations along their heavily militarized border. South Korean military spokesman Lee Sung-jun reported that North Korean forces are installing screens along the border roads, likely in preparation for explosions. He stated that these actions could occur “as early as today [Monday],” and assured that South Korea would “strongly retaliate” if provoked, citing their right to self-defense.
