Tarachi Gold (CSE: TRG) has begun the second phase of its underground drill program at its historic La Dura mine in Sonora, Mexico. The company is currently looking to test the eastern limits of mineralization discovered by the firm last year in what is referred to as the La Dura Zone.
The drill program appears to be small in size, with four holes currently planned to test these eastern limits, as well as exploring for continuation to the south of the zone. The historic mine reportedly produced 100,000 tonnes of ore at an average grade of 3.0 g/t gold.
Surface drilling is also planned to take place, where a 400 metre span between the historic mine and artisanal workings are to be tested for continuation of mineralization. The company is looking for continuation here as it looks to prove out a mineral resource on the property. The size of the program here was not outlined.
