West Red Lake Intersects 10.16 G/T Gold Over 1.5 Metres

West Red Lake Gold Mines (CSE: RLG) this morning announced that it has completed the initial stage of exploration for the southern portion of the NT zone. The announcement came with the release of drill results by the company, with highlights including 10.16 g/t gold over 1.5 metre being intersected.

Drill results from a total of ten holes were released this morning, with the highlight result coming from hole RLG-20-89, which also included an intersection of 1.42 g/t gold over 19.5 metres, beginning at a depth of 110.5 metres. Other highlights released by the firm include 10.36 g/t gold over 1.5 metres, and 2.94 g/t gold over 12.8 metres.

To date, drilling at the NT Zone has been focused on the southern kilometre of the zone, which is a broad hydrothermal deformation zone. The next stage of exploration will see the company focus on the northern portion of the zone, where it intersects the Pipestone Bay St Paul Deformation Zone, and then folds along the north side of the Rowan Mine Gold Deposit. A drill program is also being conducted to target mineralization above the first level of the Rowan Mine.

“We are very pleased that the exploration drill program successfully outlined gold mineralization along the southern 1 km portion the NT Zone. These drill results demonstrate that the 2 km long north-east trending NT Zone holds significant exploration potential both along strike and to greater depth.”
