Labrador Gold (TSXV: LAB) this morning released assays from its recent grab sample program conducted at its flagship Kingsway project within the Exploits subzone in Newfoundland. Assays from 70 grab samples in total were released, with the highlight value from a grab sample containing 1,065.4 g/t gold, with the sample previously identified as having contained visible gold.
The firms Kingsway project is located just north of New Found Gold’s (TSXV: NFG) Queensway project and east of Exploits Discovery’s (CSE: NFLD) Mt. Peyton project, and is located along the same Appleton fault structure that NFG’s Keats discovery lies near to. The recent sampling program conducted by the company saw a total of 70 samples taken along a 175 metre strike length from the projects Big Vein.
In total, values ranged from below detection to 1,065 g/t gold, while 16 samples in total registered as being over 1 gram per tonne gold. 39 samples in total registered values above 0.1 g/t gold. Prospecting and mapping conducted since assay collection has meanwhile expanded the strike length of the Big Vein to over 400 metres, with the vein lying in a corridor of quartz veins containing a total strike of 7.1 kilometres.
