Max Resource Discovers New Copper Mineralization At Cesar North

Max Resource Corp (TSXV: MXR) this morning announced that it has discovered a new type of copper mineralization at its flagship Cesar copper-silver project in northern Colombia. The discovery follows numerous discoveries that were previously made on site.

The new mineralization is hosted within igneous rock, as opposed to the sedimentary deposits found nearby. Referred to as Conejo, the zone measures out at 1.6 kilometres by 0.6 kilometres, and remains open in all directions. The mineralization reportedly lies along the Kupferschiefer-type sedimentary copper-silver mineralization found on the property.

Over 200 samples from the zone have been completed by the company and sent for assaying, with results anticipated to be received early next month. In the interim, the company has continued to map the zone to determine structural controls and the extent of the overall footprint of the zone. An IP survey is also slated to take place.

“This discovery of a new type of copper mineralization hosted in igneous host rock, significantly enhances the Company’s steadfast belief of CESAR as district scale with several pulses of mineralization.”
