Victoria Gold Corp. (TSX: VGCX) announced this morning its production results for Q4 and full-year 2021 at its Eagle gold mine. The company recorded annual gold production of 164,222 ounces, up from 2020’s production of 116,644 ounces.
The 2021 gold production also hits the company’s revised guidance of 162,000 that it announced in mid-December 2021. The guidance cut from 180,000 – 200,000 gold ounces was due to production delays at the site.
“COVID-19 has had a significant impact on Eagle operations in 2021, but our team has been very innovative adjusting to conditions and we achieved record annual gold production in 2021,” said CEO John McConnell.

The gold mining firm mined a total of 24.5 million tonnes for the year, notching an average daily throughput of 67,000 tonnes. This is an increase over last year’s 19.9 million tonnes, averaging at 54,000 tonnes per day.
For Q4 2021, the company produced 49,497 gold ounces, down from Q3 2021’s production of 55,827 ounces.
