Spearmint Resources (CSE: SPMT) continues to intersect lithium on its flagship McGee Lithium Project in Nevada. The firm this morning released its first drill data from the currently ongoing drill program.
The first hole of the current drill program has reportedly hit the longest interval of continuous potentially-lithium bearing claystone to date. The intersect, at 562 feet, or 171 metres, has yet to be assayed by the company.
The intersect was encountered approximately 760 metres from any previous drill hole, in a location that borders both Cypress Developments and Pure Energy Minerals’ properties. The current drill program is focused on expanding the mineral resource estimate of the property, with further drilling slated to occur near to this initial hole, which is focused on the same claystone formation as the aforementioned companies.

Spearmint currently has a resource estimate of 815,000 indicated tonnes and 191,000 inferred tonnes of lithium carbonate equivalent at the McGee project.
