Nearly a year after obtaining a big board listing in the United States, it appears that Bitfarms Ltd (TSXV: BITF) has finally decided its time to make a similar move in Canada. The firm this morning indicated that it has received final approval to move to the Toronto Stock Exchange.
The company is expected to begin trading on the Canadian big board as of tomorrow, at which time they will stop trading on the Venture and delist from the junior exchange. The firms symbol is expected to remain unchanged, with its big board listings to both go by the symbol “BITF”.
The announcement comes nearly a year after the company was approved to list on the Nasdaq Global Markets. The firm was initially approved in early May 2021 to list on the US big board, with trading then commencing shortly thereafter.

The formal move follows yesterday’s development, wherein it was indicated that the crypto miner has achieved a hashrate in excess of 3.0 EH/s, after it initiated mining activities at its new Leger facility in Sherbrooke, Quebec. The new facility is currently running at just over 50% capacity, with the firms total operations now producing roughly 13.3 bitcoin per day.
Bitfarms last traded at $4.12 on the TSX.
