Benton Resources (TSXV: BEX) has released further drill data from its recent program at the Great Burnt Copper Project, found in Newfoundland. A total of three holes saw their results released this morning.
Highlights from the results include:
- GB-23-09: 3.46% copper over 8.16 metres, including 4.58% copper over 6.16 metres
- GB-23-10: 2.38% copper over 24.17 metres, including 3.07% copper over 18.18 metres
- GB-23-11: 1.88% copper over 15.71 metres, including 2.31% copper over 12.71 metres
The results are said to have increased the size of the deposit both up-dip and along strike, with the deposit remaining open for expansion up dip, down plunge and along strike. The results follow the company last week indicating it had intersected 7.20% copper over 12.30 metres in hole GB-23-07.
The results are part of a drill program that began this fall. Originally slated to amount to 2,000 metres of drilling, the program was expanded to over 5,600 metres following continued success experienced in the phase one program. The next phase of drilling for the property is set to begin in winter 2024, with a 10,000 metre program planned.
