It’s being reported that SSR Mining’s (TSX: SSRM) Turkish subsidiary, Anagold Mining, has already posted job ads for its Copler mine. The postings reportedly appeared just three days after a “significant slip” occurred at the mines leach pad, which trapped nine miners in the process.
The job postings, made to LinkedIn, advertise for positions that include a mine geologist, as well as roles involved in quality control. In total, eight job ads are said to have been posted, however they have since been taken down by the company.
The posting drew several complaints on the platform, as people highlighted that nine individuals are still unaccounted for following the incident.
SSR Mining last night meanwhile indicated that search and rescue operations to locate the missing miners are ongoing and are being aided by aerial drones, with all operations remaining suspended at this time.

The company also confirmed that eight employees of the mine have been detained by local authorities while an investigation is underway. A further update on the situation is slated to be provided on February 21, when the company reports in full year 2023 financial results.
SSR Mining last traded at $6.60 on the TSX.
