Anthropic Revenue Run Rate Surpasses $30 Billion as Enterprise Demand Accelerates

Anthropic said Monday its annualized revenue run rate has exceeded $30 billion, more than tripling from the $9 billion it recorded when 2025 closed, as the AI startup announced a sweeping compute partnership with Google and Broadcom.

The milestone ranks among the steepest revenue acceleration curves in enterprise technology history. The company reached $1 billion in annualized revenue in January 2025, crossed $14 billion in February 2026, and now reports a figure that rivals the annual sales of major S&P 500 companies.

More than 1,000 business customers now spend at least $1 million annually on Anthropic’s Claude AI services — a count that more than doubled between February and April since the company’s Series G fundraising announcement.

To meet surging demand, Anthropic signed an agreement with Google and Broadcom for 3.5 gigawatts of next-generation TPU compute capacity, coming online starting in 2027.

Claude Code, Anthropic’s agentic coding platform launched publicly in May 2025, now drives more than $2.5 billion in annualized revenue, and its weekly user base has grown twofold since the start of the year.

Anthropic raised $30 billion in its Series G round in February at a $380 billion post-money valuation. Anthropic counts eight of the ten largest Fortune 500 companies among its clients.

The growth comes despite ongoing legal friction with the US government. The Pentagon designated Anthropic a “supply chain risk” following a dispute over its AI safety guardrails — a classification the company said could cost it billions in revenue from government-adjacent enterprise clients.

Anthropic’s run rate now surpasses that of rival OpenAI, which reported approximately $2 billion in monthly revenue at the end of March, putting its annualized figure at roughly $24 billion.
