Aurora Cannabis (TSX: ACB) (NYSE: ACB) this morning announced that it has received European Union Good Manufacturing Practice (EU-GMP) certification at its third facility. The latest facility, located in Bradford, Ontario, brings Aurora’s total certified annual capacity to just under 40,000 kilograms of cannabis.
The Bradford facility itself consists of 17 grow rooms that house an annual capacity of approximately 28,000, the largest of Aurora’s EU-GMP certified facilities. The licensing marks a milestone for the company, with total certified production now consisting of an annual capacity of an estimated 39,800 kilograms of cannabis.
In addition to the certification, Aurora Cannabis also announced that the firm has received the green light to continue with medical cannabis sales within Germany. The local regulator had put a temporary halt to sales of Aurora’s product back in December as a result of a process review. Inventory currently held within Germany by the company will be used to fill existing product orders.
