Falcon Gold Corp (TSXV: FG) this morning released its first assay results from drilling at the Central Canada Gold project in Ontario. Highlights of the drill results include 10.17 grams per tonne gold over 3 metres, with gold mineralization occurring to a depth of 83 metres.
Gold has been discovered in a strongly deformed granite along strike of the historic Central Canada Gold mine. Mineralization found includes drill hole CC20-01 intersecting mineralization at a depth of 67 metres, with 10.17 g/t gold over 3 metres, with mineralization to a depth of 86.33 metres. Additional interesects include 1.39 g/t gold over 5.83 metres, totaling 1.21 g/t over 19 meters.
Additionally, a new mineralization zone which was previously untested was discovered at a depth of 104 metres, sampling 18.6 g/t gold over 1 metre.
Falcon Gold is currently in the process of re-analyzing core samples that contain visible golds from holes CC20-02 and CC20-03. The company continues to delineate the mineralized zone along strike, with 6 shallow holes being drilled totaling 530 meres.
