AMC Entertainment Holdings, Inc. (NYSE: AMC) today announced the launch of AMC Investor Connect, the company’s dedicated platform to directly engage with retail shareholders. This follows the recent influx of retail investors purchasing AMC stock, causing a surge in the company’s valuation.
As of March 11, 2021, the company has more than 3.2 million retail investors, representing 80% of ownership in the equity. The company said AMC Investor Connect is a communication initiative to keep the retail investors up to date about important company information, to receive direct communications from AMC CEO & President Adam Aron, and to provide the shareholders with special offers.
Starting June 3, 2021, AMC investors worldwide can sign up for an account at the platform to receive investor updates and special offers, such as special screenings and other promotions. The movie theater chain is also incentivizing account registration in the US with an initial offer of a free large popcorn when attending a movie at AMC this summer.
