Fosterville South Exploration Ltd. (TSXV: FSX) today reported the discovery of multiple high-grade gold assays from recent sampling at the Beechworth project. Results come from rock chip and soil samples.
In total, 173 rock chip samples from 45 gold prospects were collected by the company and were said to have yielded high-grade gold intercepts that topped out at 54 g/t Gold. No further elaboration was offered in reference to chip sample results, with the company not providing a further breakdown.
Soil sampling conducted by the firm meanwhile consisted of a total 2,515 samples over an area of 10.5 square kilometres. Of these samples, 1,227 samples returned values higher than 1 part per billion (ppb) gold, with the highest sample returning a value of 521 ppb gold, or 0.52 g/t.

Both the rock chip and soil sampling programs were conducted ahead of a drill program slated to occur at the Taff and Bon Accord prospects on the property. The program is slated to consist of 68 drill holes, with the company not indicating how many total metres of drilling is to occur in aggregate.
