NG Energy (TSXV: GASX) has achieved a major milestone with the commissioning of a pipeline at its Sinu-9 block in Colombia. The commissioning follows a construction project that took nine months to complete.
The 28.3 kilometre pipeline connects the firms Brujo Central Processing Facility to Jobo, part of Colombia’s larger natural gas pipeline network. The pipeline, as per the company, is expected to transport roughly 4% of the entire country’s natural gas demand.
The commissioning of the pipeline follows the company recently completing the Brujo-1x well at Sinu-9, with flow tests achieving rates as high as 21 MMcf/d from just the upper zone. The well has been shut down and is awaiting production start upon the completion of related facilities. The Magico-1x well is expected to bring on further capacity by the end of September, bringing the Brujo Central Processing Facility to its 30 MMcf/d operating capacity.
