Screen to Table: Netflix to Open A Restaurant in LA

Netflix (Nasdaq: NFLX) is set to launch its first-ever culinary space, Netflix Bites, offering fans of food shows a unique dining experience. The limited-time pop-up restaurant aims to bring dishes featured in popular Netflix shows to life.

Opening its doors for two weeks beginning on June 30 in Los Angeles, Netflix Bites’ lineup includes culinary experts such as Curtis Stone, Dominique Crenn, Rodney Scott, Ming Tsai, Ann Kim, Nadiya Hussain, Jacques Torres, and Andrew Zimmern. These chefs will collaborate on a special tasting menu.

Netflix Bites will also offer a selection of cocktails. Mixologists from Netflix’s popular show “Drink Masters” — Frankie Solarik, Julie Reiner, LP O’Brien, and Kate Gerwin — will create custom mixes for the pop-up’s drink menu.

The company has yet to reveal the final menu but has already started taking reservations. Per FAQs, to make a reservation, guests will need to pay a non-refundable $25 deposit that will go toward their final bill. And while the pop-up is meant to make bingeing on Netflix’s popular food shows more experiential, there won’t be any meet-and-greets with the chefs.

It’s still up in the air if they’ll charge you extra if you share.
