Surge Battery Metals Outlines Plans For Eight Hole Drill Program

Surge Battery Metals (TSXV: NILI) has released its drill plan for 2024 for its flagship Nevada North Lithium Project. The company has indicated it intends to drill test outside of the current resource footprint.

Drilling in 2024 is set to occur largely in regions where Surge does not wholly own the mineral claims. The company has secured the ability to drill test claims where it owns a 25% stake in the sub-surface mineral rights, which is located south of its current resource estimate. A total of four holes are expected to be drilled on these claims.

A further two holes are to be drilled on claims that Surge holds under a joint venture with M3 Metals Corp. One hole is to be located 1.0 kilometre to the west of the current resource, while another hole is as much as 1.2 kilometres south of the current resource.

Two final holes are to be drilled on claims wholly owned by Surge, which are also south of the current resource. The aim of the program is to conduct step out drilling ahead of a planned infill program slated to take place in 2025.

Surge Battery Metals last traded at $0.445 on the TSX Venture.
