Tesla (NASDAQ: TSLA) has seen chief financial officer Zachary Kirkhorn resign from his role with the company.
The resignation comes after a 13-year tenure at the US electric automaker, the last four of which were in the role of chief financial officer, as well as “Master of Coin.” A reason for Kirkhorn’s resignation, which is officially as of August 4, was not provided, however he is expected to remain with the company through to the end of the year to enable a seamless transition.

Taking on the role of CFO will be that of Vaibhav Taneja, whom has served as chief accounting officer for Tesla since March 2019, prior to which he was corporate controller. Taneja will continue in the CAO role, while also serving in the CFO role.
Tesla last traded at $245.50 on the Nasdaq.
