Twitter (NYSE: TWTR) Blue users will now be able to debut their NFTs as profile pictures, as the social media platform makes an effort to embrace the digital-goods market.
Starting Thursday, subscribers to Twitter’s Blue service will be able to upload their NFTs as profile pictures, as the social media platform makes its biggest jump into the digital market business so far. The feature will be available in Canada, the US, New Zealand and Australia— the only countries with access to Twitter Blue, and only those subscribers with an iOS device will be able to upload NFTs from their digital wallets.
Blue subscribers will have to connect their crypto wallet to their Twitter account, select an NFT that they own, and upload it as their new profile picture. The NFT profile pictures will appear as a hexagon shape instead of the traditional circle in order to distinguish the subscriber as an NFT collector. Twitter users will be able to tap the icon to learn more about the NFT and its artist.
