Village Farms (TSX: VFF) (NASDAQ: VFF) has seen Pure Sunfarms go international. The company announced this morning that the cannabis subsidiary will be featured as part of a CBD-infused gift set to be sold in Hong Kong, which will see its CBD infused gummies included as part of the set.
The gummies will be sold with other CBD infused items such as chocolates, bath salts, and tea bags under a limited edition run of products under the Lane Crawford x Found brand. The products are to be sold via pop up shops aimed to increase awareness of CBD within the Hong Kong market.
The entrance to the Asian-Pacific market follows Village Farm’s acquisition of 6.6% of Altum Internation earlier this year. Altum’s brand Found is the first CBD retail platform and cafe within the Asia Pacific, enabling Village to see its Pure Sunfarms brand enter international retailers.

Concurrently, Village also announced this morning that it has been granted a cannabis research license to conduct human trials on sensory evaluation of cannabis. The license is said to enable the company to focus on the formulation and refinement of products, given that assessments for taste, sight, smell or touch of its products can now occur on site at the Delta 3 facility in British Columbia.
Village Farms last traded at $7.99 on the Nasdaq.
