Village Farms (TSX: VFF) (NASDAQ: VFF) has seen its wholly owned subsidiary, Pure Sunfarms, expand its cannabis 2.0 offerings this morning, with the company announcing it will be entering the cannabis edibles space. The market entrance comes via a partnership with White Rabbit OG, a craft cannabis food formulation and development company.
The partnership, conducted on an exclusive basis, will see White Rabbit’s EAT ME technology used to produce gummie products for the company. Furthermore, the arrangement will see Pure Sunfarms distribute and sell edibles from both firms under their respective brands.
Products are expected to be launched under the Pure Sunfarms brand in early 2021, while products under White Rabbit’s label are expected to be launched across BC, Alberta, Saskatchewan and Ontario as well as through medical channels in the coming weeks. Products produced under the arrangement are said to be the only products on the market made with real pure fruit.

The partnership period is for an initial two year period, with annual renewal thereafter. Financial details, or manufacturing capacity details, were not provided by the company.
Unrelated, the company also announced this morning that it will soon be launching new high-THC vape products in Ontario, BC, and Alberta in the coming weeks following the success of their full spectrum vape products.
Village Farms last traded at $13.05 on the TSX.
