Village Farms (TSX: VFF) is leaving Canadian markets. The firm this morning announced that it has elected to voluntarily delisted its securities from trading on the Toronto Stock Exchange, with its application for such a move already having been approved.
The company is leaving the exchange largely due to its lack of activity. In making the decision, the firm stated that the volume traded on the exchange “no longer justifies the expense and administrative requirements associated with maintaining a TSX listing.”
The firm will continue to maintain its listing on the Nasdaq, which it believes provides “sufficient liquidity.” Holders of the equity will be able to trade their common shares on the Nasdaq following the delisting of the firm from the TSX.

The delisting is slated to be effective as of December 31, 2021.
Village Farms last traded at $8.05 on the TSX.
