A cruise line has launched a new offering that remote workers may find hard to resist: a three-year trip around the world from just $83 per person per night — inclusive of food, amenities, and more.
Life at Sea Cruises’ journey aboard the MV Gemini is the world’s first and only three-year cruise, and its starting price of $29,999 per year is actually lower than the estimated average annual cost of living for a single person in the US, which NerdWallet estimates to be around $40,859.
The rates also already include high-speed wifi, laundry, port fees, and housekeeping, as well as all-inclusive dining and cocktails at dinner. The company is also creating a business center with a number of meeting rooms, offices, a lounge, and a library.

The ship has 400 cabins that can accommodate a total of 1,074 passengers. Accommodations start at 130 square feet for an interior stateroom with virtual views to a 260-square-foot suite with a balcony that starts at about $7,000 per month.
The three-year journey will bring passengers to 135 countries on all seven continents.
