Exploration is well underway at Xander Resources (TSXV: XND) Val-d’Or property, referred to as the Senneville project. The company announced this morning that exploration started on August 9 at the property, beginning with prospecting being conducted on site.
The Senneville property is located within the eastern portion of the Abitibi Greenstone belt, north of Val-d’Or. They consist of 158 claims, which have been broken up into three separate groups. Collectively, they border that of the Monarch Gold (TSX: MQR) McKenzie Break Property as well the Probe Metals (TSXV: PRB) recent discovery and Black Tusk Resources (CSE: TUSK).
The first work conducted on site was at the seven kilometre long Pascalis/Lanaudiere volcanic contact zone, located in the easterly portion of the Senneville East claims, where many significant gold showings exist. The company is also targeting an area where extensive stripping was done in the 1980’s by an unknown firm.
Following this, a second phase of prospecting is to occur on airborne EM and magnetic anomalies found on the property. These anomalies are said to occur in long strings of northwest trending conductors.
