Despite prior exploration success, Patriot Battery Metals (TSXV: PMET) is reporting that it has made yet another discovery at its Corvette property in the James Bay region of Quebec.
The discovery follows an inaugural 18 hole drill program that took place at the CV9 Pegmatite, which amounted to 4,000 metres of drilling. Results released however are preliminary in nature, with the company only revealing the intercept lengths of spodumene-bearing pegmatite, with lithium grades not yet available.

- CV23-304: 23 metres of pegmatite
- CV23-315: 76 metres of pegmatite
- CV23-326: 37 metres of pegmatite
- CV23-333: 70 metres and 27 metres of pegmatite
- CV23-345: 100 metres of pegmatite
Assays have yet to be received on the results, with drill core still being processed on site. Notably, the last eight holes conducted are said to all have hit continuous pegmatite intercepts in excess of 10 metres long, including three in excess of 60 metres.
Current modeling suggests a strike length of at least 450 metres based on drilling and outcrops at CV9, with the target being at least 80 metres wide at one location, with the target open in multiple directions.

CV9 is found 14 kilometres to the west of CV5, and 9.5 kilometres west-northwest of CV13.
