Benton Resources (TSXV: BEX) has released assay results from another drill hole at its Great Burnt copper project in Newfoundland. The latest data comes from the Great Burnt Main Zone, while confirming mineralization in a parallel Footwall Zone.
Highlights from the results include:
- GB-24-49: 22.0 metres of 7.47% copper, 3.76 g/t silver, 0.05 g/t gold from a depth of 220.80 metres
- And 9.50 metres of 0.25% copper, 0.11 g/t silver, 0.94 g/t gold from a depth of 425.00 metres
The hole is said to have served as an infill hole for the Great Burnt Main Zone, while also intersecting the Footwall Zone. The Footwall Zone is found 170 to 200 metres to the east, with further drilling now underway to test the parallel horizon in several areas. Multiple holes are planned to test the horizon, along with testing the down plunge extension of the Main Zone.
