A Russian TV host called on the people of the United States to “change the regime” in the country, asking the Americans to help their “partner” former US President Donald Trump to become its leader once again.
Russia’s 60 Minutes host Evgeny Popov spoke on the show Tuesday convincing the US citizens to install Trump once more as president.
“It’s time for us, for our people to call on the people of the United States to change the regime in the US early and to again help our partner Trump to become president,” said Popov in Russian.
This comes after US President Joe Biden made an off-the-cuff remark on Russian President Vladimir Putin, saying the Kremlin leader “cannot remain in power.”

Biden’s comment was quickly walked back by the White House, saying the remark was coming from “moral outrage” instead of a policy change.
“I think the president, the White House, made the point last night that, quite simply, President Putin cannot be empowered to wage war or engage in aggression against Ukraine or anyone else,” said US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken.
On the other hand, Trump in an interview on Tuesday asked Putin to release any information he has about the Biden family, including first son Hunter Biden, specifically on why a certain Moscow mayor’s wife gave the first family US$3.5 million.
“I would think Putin would know the answer to that,” Trump said. “I think he should release it. I think we should know that answer.”
Hunter Biden’s supposed corrupt involvement with Ukrainian gas company Burisma was one of Trump’s revelations during the 2020 US presidential elections. This has also become the subject of his first impeachment trial as he had supposedly offered a quid pro quo arrangement with the Ukrainian government to launch an investigation on Biden’s activities in exchange for around US$400 million in military aid.
Senior Trump officials were also in collusion with Russian intelligence to spread disinformation on Biden and his family. Furthermore, US Senate Intelligence Committee also concluded in its findings that Russia interfered in the 2016 US presidential election that saw Trump victorious.
Praising Putin has been a staple in the former US president’s speeches at recent campaign rallies, saying the Russian leader is “smart” on multiple occasions.
“They say, ‘Trump said Putin’s smart.’ I mean, he’s taking over a country for two dollars’ worth of sanctions,” Trump said at a fundraiser at Mar-a-Lago. “I’d say that’s pretty smart. He’s taking over a country — really a vast, vast location, a great piece of land with a lot of people, and just walking right in.”
